Shropshire Hotel - The Castle Hotel, Bishops Castle

The Castle Hotel in Bishops Castle, has been offering hotel accommodation in Shropshire since 1760, and in all the intervening years it has hardly changed, still offering an atmosphere of home from home. The three bars, where you can eat and drink, are welcoming, comfortable and full of interesting items such as a selection of traditional pub games. A wood burning stove and an open coal fire supply a warm and cosy feeling during the winter months. Upstairs there are seven very comfortable bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities plus the standard extras.

To the rear of the building is a large beautiful garden with pond and terrace giving wonderful views over Bishop's Castle and the surrounding hills. This was completed in 2001 and is very popular with locals & visitors alike. The Castle is owned and run by Nicky and David Simpson who have been here since 1989.

The Castle Hotel offers the ideal location to enjoy drink or dine out with firends. For visitors to the West of England, The Castle Hotel, in its unique village location, is the perfect place for a Hotel Break in Shropshire.
